Hello SGHS!! My name is Kim Bartlett, and I am the counselor for students with the last names A-D. This is my 20th year as a school counselor and my 16th at SG. I am also an alumni of Southern Guilford and have a tremendous love for the school. I want the graduates of Southern Guilford to be prepared to go off into the world- whether that be the workforce, military or college- and make positive changes to a better society.

I have been a school counselor in Guilford County since 2005 and came to Southern Guilford High School in 2018.   

I love helping students plan for their futures and figure out their next steps after high school.

Mrs. Parks

Counselor for students whose last names begin with the letters R-Z.

I have been working as a school counselor for Guilford County Schools since 1994.  All three of my children have graduated from Southern Guilford High School and I am a member of this community.  I am the advisor to the National Honor Society and help with the SG Linked Mentors.

I love working with students and have an open-door policy.

I have been a counseling secretary / registrar at Southern Guilford High School since 2010. I do all of the enrollments and hope to make your transition to SGHS as easy as possible.

Storm

Storm is a Corgi/Feist mix who joined the counseling team in 2018.  He was trained by Mrs. Parks at Dog Town LLC in Burlington.  He is certified through Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD).

Porthos

Porthos is 3/4 Poodle and 1/4 Golden Retriever.  He joined the counseling team in 2022.  He was trained by Mrs. Parks at Dog Town LLC in Burlington.  He is a certified therapy dog through Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD).
